These cups are a magnificent example of Arita production. They feature the classic ‘tsubaki’ motif (camellia flower), which is also repeated on the inside in the underglaze blue technique. Simplicity and elegance are the hallmarks of traditional Japanese pottery, which reached its zenith around 400 years ago, thanks to the popularity gained by the tea ceremony.
