This Grand Cru white tea is grown at around 2000 metres altitude in the ilam Valley, on the outer reaches of Nepal. The tea garden is located in Sakhejung, a rural area of Ilam, which is covered with different climate and very beautiful. . At these altitudes, the tea plants grow more slowly and are protected by the surrounding mountains in an area characterised by great biodiversity and soil rich in organic matter, which give the tea a unique taste.This timeless place is the cradle of this exceptional Grand Cru: an organic white tea hand plucked and hand processed, with velvety silvery leaves, rich in buds, offering vegetal notes and and floral heart of a rare subtlety with sweet hints of vanilla. A tea that should be slowly savoured to fully appreciate the unicity.

2/3 grams x 200 ccs of hot water at 80°C. Leave it for 4 minutes.

The story goes that in the second half of the 1800s, the Chinese Emperor Daougang gave the Nepalese Prime Minister, Maharaja Junga Bahadur Rana, some tea plants. Hence, tea cultivation was started in the easternmost regions, namely in the district of Ilam. Today, Nepal produces high quality tea through small family farms.
