Prized powdered organic green tea from shaded plantations. The Akashi is a cerimonial grade, fragrant and fruity with all the best characteristics of Matcha: mild, delicately bitter, sweet and nourishing. The name "Akashi" means light.
Higher grade Matcha comes from a careful selection of raw material from tea plants that have been shaded for a longer period of time. The result is a higher amino acid content, a sweeter, smoother taste in the cup and a more intense green colour.

1,5 gr to 150 cc. of water at a temperature of 80°C. Use a large low cup and the bamboo whisk to froth the tea powder.
Matcha Japanese Powdered Green Tea
Matcha is a fine powdered green tea, a unique product that has been used for centuries in Japan, introduced by the Buddhist monks as a mystical medicinal drink and the core of the traditional tea ceremony, Cha No Yu. La Via del Tè offers three grades of certified organic Matcha. The higher the grade of Matcha, the greater the number of tender apical buds used, the brighter the colour green, the higher the yield, and the softer and sweeter the flavour.
Excellent with almond paste sweetmeats and Japanese traditional sweets.
