Beautiful porcelain bowls that can be used for tea as well as for serving rice, soup or appetisers. Made in classic white and blue colours and traditional Japanese floral decorations, they come from the ceramic manufactures of Gifu, the ‘ceramic valley’ in the heart of Japan, which boasts a tradition dating back to the 13th century, handed down from generation to generation. Mino yaki is the name given to Gifu porcelain and ceramics, which account for 50% of Japanese production.
Simplicity and elegance are the hallmarks of traditional Japanese pottery, which reached its zenith around 400 years ago, thanks to the popularity gained by the tea ceremony.
