How should I configure my browser for optimal use of the services of the La Via del Tè online shop?

For the laviadelte.it website full compatibility is guaranteed for use with Internet Explorer 7.0 or later versions, Firefox 2.0, Safari in versions for Windows or Apple Mac operating systems. To view the site at its best, the screen resolution should be 1024x768 pixels with a colour depth of at least 32 bit. The site uses javascript which should therefore be enabled on the browser used.

No. There are no limits regarding the amount of the order.

Can an order be cancelled?

Yes. Simply get in touch with us as soon as possible by sending an e-mail to: boutique@laviadelte.it or a fax to the number +39 055 2094052 or by completing the online form in the Contacts section.

How long does it take to deliver the ordered goods?

If the product/s you have ordered are in stock in the warehouse, it/they will be delivered to the carrier within the 48 hours following the completion of your order. If the product/s are not in stock, you will be contacted directly (by e-mail or by phone) by one of our staff who will inform you of the maximum time required for the restocking of the product/s you have ordered.

What do I have to do when the carrier delivers the goods?

When the carrier makes the delivery you should check: 1) That the packaging is intact and has not been tampered with, and complies with the standard features of a package; 2) That the number of parcels (packages) indicated on the invoice corresponds to the number actually delivered; N.B.: Any complaints must be made immediately to the carrier, otherwise we are obliged to consider the goods as correctly delivered. You should retain the invoice, which you will find in the special pocket on the outside of the package. If the package proves to be damaged or have been tampered with, remember to write on the carrier’s delivery note “accepted conditionally, subject to checking the condition of the contents”. Without this wording we cannot under any circumstances accept complaints for damaged material.

What should I do if on delivery of the goods the packaging is open or damaged?

At the time of delivery the customer is entitled to open the package to check that the product corresponds to that which was ordered, and that there is no apparent damage or anomaly. Should the product not correspond to that which was ordered, or in the case of evident damage, we recommend that you do not accept the delivery, returning it to the carrier who will proceed to return it to us. In both cases you should contact us immediately.

Can you deliver the goods to an address different from that of the purchaser?

Yes, for us it does not matter what the delivery address is. The only thing we do request is to have a telephone number for the addressee so that we can programme the delivery with the carrier.

The order summary is sent to all customers at the e-mail address specified at the time of compilation of the order form.

At your request, we can send the invoice separately from the package to your own address; in this case the goods will travel with the packing list.

How can I exercise the right to withdraw?

SNAK srl –La Via del Tè acknowledges the customer’s right to withdraw as laid down in current legislation. The deadline for availing of this right is 10 days as prescribed by law, within which time the customer is bound to communicate his or her intention to us by registered letter with proof of receipt (address: Via Ponte a Iozzi 8/1, 50123 Impruneta (FI) - Italy) and obviously also to forward the goods to us at the same address within the same deadline (10 days).

Is it safe to buy online?

Certainly, the transaction is protected by Banca Sella using 128-bit SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) technology. This ensures that the data are encrypted at maximum security level and processed exclusively within the banking circuit. When you enter your data you will see a padlock icon appear at the bottom of the browser window; this indicates that the site is encrypted and hence protected. The server performs a check on the credit card number in an automated manner and protected from all human sight. Not even laviadelte.it is informed of its customers’ credit card details!

The payment for your purchases online using credit card is completely safe and protected. This operation is not managed by the laviadelte.it server but directly by Banca Sella. All the personal information and credit card details transit via secure server using SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) protocol for the complete protection of your data. When you enter your data you will see a padlock icon appear at the bottom of the browser window; this indicates that the site is encrypted and hence protected. The computer systems on the Banca Sella server carry out a check on the credit card number in an automated manner and protected from all human sight. The cards accepted are: VISA, MASTERCARD, PAYPAL. Remember: carrying out credit card transactions via internet is much safer that giving your credit card number over the phone. Alternatively, for those who do not have a credit card or prefer not to use it, we also accept a prepaid card.

La Via del Tè accepts only payments by credit card. You can pay online simply and conveniently using credit cards (Carta SI, Visa, Mastercard) and prepaid cards such as PostePay and PayPal.
The communication of your credit card number over internet, using the online payment system of Banca Sella, is absolutely safe.
At the end of the order procedure a link will open on a secure channel (through an SSL connection based on 128-bit encryption) showing the webpage of Banca Sella, which is the only bank authorised by the La Via del Tè online Shop for the management of credit card payments on its website.
The secure Banca Sella webpage that is shown includes:
- the amount of the order;
- the fields to be completed: type of credit card, credit card number and expiry date;
- a button to cancel or confirm the payment.
All you have to do now is fill in the fields and confirm the payment by sending the credit card details to Banca Sella – in an encrypted and hence secure manner. The bank will then process the data (authorisation and accounting phases) and a new page will be shown indicating the outcome of the transaction. For the customer’s security, the credit card number is never communicated even to La Via del Tè, but is forwarded only to the banks that have to provide the authorisation, the outcome of which is then transmitted to us. Consequently no details relating to your credit card will appear on the documents connected with the order, or will be memorised in our systems or in those of the express carrier.

All deliveries are made by Corriere Bartolini, and deliveries to mailbox addresses cannot be accepted.

This site belongs to: SNAK srl - La Via del Tè The La Via del Tè online Shop has been created for the sale to private consumers of teas and infusions, tea accessories, gourmandise and a selection of gift packs, in compliance with the Italian legislation governing distance sales contracts. The sale is governed by these General Conditions and by the procedures indicated in detail in the various sections of this site under the respective headings PAYMENT METHODS, DELIVERY TIMES and DATA PROTECTION which are deemed an integral and substantive part of the sale contract. We would therefore invite the Customer, before submitting the order, to carefully read the sales conditions as identified above and the information contained therein, and to print or save the same on another permanent support accessible to him/her. Any amendments or new sales conditions will be notified promptly to the customer and will take effect from the time of publication on the website, being applied only to sales concluded following the publication of the same. 4. confirm the order, and in the case of a gift change the delivery data, entering those of the recipient

Art. 1 – Conclusion of the contract

The order submitted to the La Via del Tè online Shop must be completed in full and must contain the elements necessary for the identification of the Customer and the products ordered, as well as details of the delivery address, on pain of invalidity. The Via del Tè online Shop will send to the Customer an e-mail confirming receipt of the order and containing a reference to the applicable sales conditions.

Art. 2 – Availability and delivery

The La Via del Tè online Shop undertakes to accept orders within the limits of the stocks of goods available. In particular circumstances, the La Via del Tè online Shop may not be in a position to ensure the availability of all the products on offer, and hence cannot be considered liable for the temporary unavailability of one or more products. The submission of the order by the Customer is deemed valid also as acceptance of a possible partial delivery, restricted to the products available among those that have been ordered, and also as a waiver of any claim for compensation and/or indemnity under such entitlement. The La Via del Tè online Shop undertakes, moreover, pursuant to the law, to inform the Customer promptly of the non-availability of the ordered product. (i) If, despite the care we take to prevent this, upon payment confirmation the ordered product should prove to be temporarily unavailable, the La Via del Tè online Shop reserves the right to suggest an article of equivalent quality and price, without charging any additional costs to the customer. Where this is not possible, or if the Customer does not wish to accept a replacement, he or she may decide whether to wait for the product to be available again or to cancel the order, again without any additional costs. (ii) Instead, in the case of permanent non-availability, should it not be possible to supply an article of equivalent quality and price, the order will be automatically cancelled. We would also remind you that with credit card payment the amount will actually be charged 7 days from receipt of the order. Consequently, in the event that an article is not available and it is not possible to make a replacement, the credit card will be charged only for the value of the goods actually available. The Via del Tè online Shop delivers the product or products ordered by the Customer on the conditions specifically set out in this website under the heading “Shipping”.

Art. 3 – Right to withdraw

As laid down in Legislative Decree no. 185 of 22 May 1999, the Customer is entitled to withdraw from the contract in integrity and good faith, without any penalty and without specifying the reason thereof, within 10 days from the receipt of the merchandise, subject to written communication to be forwarded to: SNAK srl-La Via del Tè, Via Ponte a Iozzi, 8/1 Loc. Cascine del Riccio 50023 FIRENZE. In this communication the Customer must indicate the product or products for which he or she intends to exercise the right to withdraw. In accordance with the law, the La Via del Tè online Shop shall then proceed, at its own responsibility and expense – and in the manner and terms agreed in advance with the Customer, saving the waiver of the latter – to the refund of the amount paid or to replacement with another product. The written communication, sent by registered letter, must contain: • Indication of the desire to take advantage of the faculty as prescribed by the legislation in force. • Details of the purchased product. • Copy of the original sales letter which should be in your possession. • In the case of partial withdrawal, the code/s of the article/s. • Details of the bank co-ordinates of the account for the credit transfer (Customer’s IBAN code and current account number). The only costs that will be requested are those for shipping. The right to withdraw applies only to merchandise that is intact at the time of return.

Art. 4 – Return of damaged merchandise

In the event of delivery of an article that has been damaged in transit, the Customer does not suffer the consequences, since all the goods travel at our risk. In the event of merchandise that arrives damaged, therefore, we would kindly ask customers to help us to improve the service by accepting the packages conditionally, subject to checking.

Art. 5 – Prices and methods of payment

The prices indicated on the website ww.laviadelte.it in the La Via del Tè online Shop section are in Euro and are inclusive of VAT. Shipping costs are excluded. The prices applied are those indicated on the site at the time of order by the Customer. The prices of the individual products are subject to change, so that the prices indicated on the site at any time cancel and replace those previously indicated. ***The price of the purchased products together with the costs for delivery must be paid by the Customer at the time of the online order via credit card. The fiscal documentation will be issued by SNAK srl at the time of delivery.***

Art. 6 – Guarantees and liability

SNAK srl – La Via del Tè, within the limits of availability as specified above, guarantees that the products delivered will be equivalent to those indicated and described on the website. SNAK srl guarantees compliance with all the regulations governing storage and conservation of the products up to the time of delivery to the address indicated in the order. The liability of the manufacturer holds for all the products sold. In the case of packaged products, the manufacturer is also liable for the truthfulness and completeness of the details provided on the packaging. The images present on the website are provided to facilitate the Customer’s recognition of the products; however these photos may not always accurately reflect the appearance of the product delivered, as a result of changes in the packaging made by the manufacturer.

Art. 7 – Disputes and applicable law

Any disputes that may arise regarding the application, performance and interpretation of the distance sales contracts are submitted to Italian jurisdiction, and the Court of Florence shall have competence. The distance sales contracts with SNAK srl are regulated by Italian law and for all that is not expressly specified the relevant legislation applies.
